Fremantle Parade!

The Parade

1 November 2015: 2pm onwards! It will be the first year that the Fremantle Community Wind Farm participates in Freo’s iconic annual Fremantle Festival Parade. The theme of the parade is ‘Future Freo’. This is a great opportunity to come along and show your support for the wind farm by joining us in our parade entry. We are teaming up with the Sambanistas and are currently in the early stages of building a parade float that will feature a large spinning wind turbine!

If you, your friends or family would like to take part in the parade on the day please register your interest by sending a quick e-mail to emilia@fremantlewindfarm.com.au. Please RSVP by 17th October so we can make sure we have a Fremantle Community Wind Farm T-shirt for you on the day! Also please be advised that participant numbers may be limited.

Float Building and Screen Printing

As part of preparations for the Fremantle Festival Street Parade float building activities are happening each Sunday until the float is complete. To come along to a fun day working with your creativity (and your hands) get in touch with emilia@fremantlewindfarm.com.au or call 0401 519 593. Float building runs from 10am onwards and takes place at Mike’s workshop 4/1780 Albany Highway, Kenwick. Cnr McIntyre Way.

We will be screen-printing shirts for the parade and welcome any interested volunteers to get in touch about helping with this. We are also looking for screen printing materials so let us know if you have a screen printing kit ready to be dusted off!
